Washington tourism offers you the opportunity to see Hood Canal, One of the Seven Wonders of the Olympic Peninsula. It is called the Olympics’ Emerald Fjord as it divides the Olympic and Kitsap peninsulas. This is a beautiful area of the state so make sure to take the time to visit and see them all.

You will learn that Hood Canal is a slender saltwater fjord which flows inland throughout the area from the Straits of Juan de Fuca and State Route 101. You can reach the trails of the Tahuya State Forest when you are visiting the area.

Crossing the Canal is the Hood Canal Bridge which offers some of the best views of the area. This bridge is 7,869 feet long. It is the longest floating bridge in the world which is located in a saltwater tidal basin and the third longest floating bridge in the world.
