Blanchard Springs Caverns - Mountain View, Arkansas February 20, 2009

Enter the world of the underground at Blanchard Springs Caverns where you can choose between three different levels of caving. If you don’t want to do a difficult tour then you will want to take the Dripstone National Recreation Trail tours where, for an hour, you are looking at some of the most beautiful creations of calcite formations found in any cave.

This tour is suitable for everyone, even those who need to push a stroller with little ones. Just make sure that they don’t touch any of the surfaces since that would “kill off” any future growth of the formations.

There are two other tours of more difficulty for you to consider, one being the Discovery Trail and the other the Wild Cave tour. For these you will need to be in good physical condition since they require steps and with the Wild Cave tour you will be crawling in some areas.

The tours are great for any level of interest so enjoy the experience and the sites. This Arkansas vacation stop could well be one you will remember for years to come.
